The houses are self- catering
We provide linen, bath towels, fire wood, toilet paper, bath soap, cleaning detergents.
We provide a couple of ice trays so you will probably need to bring extra ice.
Please bring swimming towels as the dam is lovely to swim in.
The white bath towels are not allowed at the dam. The mud tends to stain them.
You can drink the tap water here-it is safe, but you may want to bring a few extra bottles- it’s up to you.
Please bring firelighters and brickettes, if you are planning to use the Weber braai.
We service the rooms at around 10h00 every day to make the beds and clean. Please let us know if you require the staff to come earlier.
You are welcome to try your luck at trout fishing- just bring your own trout rods.
We do encourage catch and release. There is a small rowing boat and oars which you are welcome to use. (Please bring swimming towels if you plan to go in the boat)
If you are planning to use the pizza oven, please let us know in advance as it takes a couple of hours to fire up. Our staff can do it for you.
You can order ready made bases in town from VDV – only R15-00 each; so much easier than doing own dough. Just add your own toppings. Their contact number is 0810180330.
Or you can try the pizza place at Piggly Wiggly.
We do ask our guests to please be considerate with the noise level as we do have other guests staying with us. Unfortunately no loud music is allowed- thank you.
(Please note that bachelor’s or hens parties are not allowed.)
